The Coronavirus Diaries – A Perfect Date

April 25th, 2020 proves to be the perfect date.  The sun is shining, it’s not too hot and not too cold and everyone seems to be in better spirits.

It’s also a good date because we see growing signs of positive attitude around us.  The people we encounter in the forest, keep their distance, but seek eye contact and offer a smile and a greeting.  You can sense that they are happy to have some contact with other human beings, even if for a fleeting moment.

Someone is leaving gnomes in the crook of tree trunks in the forest, and recently the numbers of gnomes are growing.

Some other rays of sunshine popped up recently.

This rainbow

and a bird gnome.

Then there was this

and this

There is always the little library.  I love the little libraries but hardly ever have a book with me to contribute.  This one is just down the road and we can now walk over and deposit or withdraw to our heart’s  content!  I just wish they had some puzzles in there as well…

I hope that these images and positive messages from the forest and around our rural neighbourhood will brighter up your day, whatever the weather may be where you are and regardless of the date!

Stay well, stay positive, and stay safe!

Since my gym is closed, I try to get out and walk once a day. People are good about giving each other considerable space. Most give a quick nod or say hello, and if they are feeling like me, they also miss being around others. We are now required to wear a face mask in indoor public settings. That isn’t a big issue since most we’re already doing that.

So nice to see so many positive signs from others on your walk. People are trying their best to keep smiling during this terrible time. Hope the virus does go away soon and stays away. Liked your post.

What a nice story. Gnomes in the forest? That explains a lot of the noises I heard over the years. I especially like the little library. I hope I get to see it.

We would love to hear from you!
