The Coronavirus Diaries – We Unretired

Yup, you heard that right.  We unretired again.  Not permanently, just for a couple of months to tie loose ends that were unravelled by COVID-19, but still, I smirk at Tony as I hiss at him”I told you that it’s not gonna happen after all…”

Ontario is very slowly releasing itself from the lockdown and we won’t be able to go on a long road trip anyway. We might as well work a bit more on our retirement nest egg while we plan our next trip.

About that next trip.  The plan is to explore Northern Ontario, especially crown land locations, so if you have any suggestions of places not to be missed, send those our way.  I’ll share more about our plans in a future post, so stay tuned.  For now, we are back to long walks in the forest (avoiding deer ticks) as we plan, yet again, our retirement.

I am also procrastinating with our Savannah post—the last post of our last trip south.  It’s coming.  Promise!

In the meantime, we found a puzzle that will keep us busy for a long time and help us procrastinate a bit more.

The salad table is growing nicely

And finally,  a lovely family of wrens took residence in the bird house that Tony built.

There is also an ongoing battle with the squirrels, but this is also a post for another time.

Covid19 has caused many people to rethink their retirement plans for a year or two. It sucks! But just think of how sweet it will be when you reach your goal. Hang in there!

Someday the world will return to normal – then perhaps all this unsettled mess called life will be a memory we can forget. Good luck with planning your life.

sorry to hear about the change in plans, but like you said, there’s not much else going on right now anyway. Enjoy your puzzle, your garden, your birds, and those squirrels!

We would love to hear from you!
