I don’t remember taking this photo. The location is Delta, Colorado, but I don’t have any accessible memories of this place. This was taken only two and a half years ago, but looking at the map and the other photos taken in that same area does not bring up any memories either. If we had our blog at the time, surely we would have written something about this place, the drive, or the drama in the landscape. We would have had an anecdote or a random fact written down to remind us of this place. We didn’t. This is mostly why we blog.
It’s a stunning photo. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you, Linda! Of course, one of the other reasons we blog is that we like to share our memories 🙂
You need to get “Overdraft Protection” on your Memory Bank account 😉
Hahaha, if only!
It looks like one of those backdrops you’d see in a western movie. And I’ve had the same issue; I’ll look at an old photo, and have no idea when or where it was taken…
Not sure whether to attribute it to too much travel or old age. Probably a bit of both.
I’d go with the too much travel, which is a good thing… 🙂
I prefer this option too!
Love the deep layers to the mountain. Goes to show the vast and incredible natural beauty of the United States!
Me too! And yes, there is an abundance of natural beauty across the continent!
I like your comment on the lack of clues for the photo. Something I would hate, I’m even maniac enough to list all my photos with a short caption, it started with the 36 views of the film in the old days, today it’s hundreds of photos a day, but spreadsheets have replaced paper notebooks.
We keep a notebook now with very short notes to remind us of little things we may forget and of course there are location information on iphone to help with failing memories and hundreds of photos. Even then, you may forget how it made you feel…
