It’s crazy how time gets away from us. Yes, we were busy producing a grandchild, driving to Denver to help Denver Daughter relocate to Michigan, and return to Sarnia to make up for some lost time with said grandchild. Still, I could have written many posts and I didn’t because I fell into a rabbit hole of genealogical research.
The house in Denver is under contract, fingers crossed all goes well. Grandson is three months already. Another testament to the unforgiving passage of time.
In my defense, it is spring in some parts of the world now, so some people may be able to relate. Excuses aside, here are some pictures that I took in Sarnia last spring to be followed by the many posts that are waiting patiently on the sidelines. So many….
The city burst into bloom and a symphony of colours and wonderful scents. Except for this stinky Callery Pear tree.
There were wisterias,
magnolias,
beautiful flowers,
trees and shrubs,
and most of all, the promise of summer and fun.
Happy spring to my friends in Southern Australia, south America, and Southern Africa. Happy fall to the rest of us
Life gets busy sometimes. Best to enjoy it as it happens. We are kind of in the same boat as we wait for our first grandchild. Happy Wednesday. Allan
Congratulations! How exciting!
I don’t think I knew what wisteria looks like. It’s very pretty. So fall pictures next?
Haha, I think so 🙂
Beautiful!
Thank you!
What a lovely way to say good morning the sun is just coming up and I’m reading your blog and looking at all those flowers and in a few weeks it will be the same here. And I am hoping for anew grandchild.
Parallels on the other side of the globe. Lovely spring to you!
Beautiful spring pics. Very cheery on a fall day. I don’t think you should apologize for living a good and busy life outside of blogging. There is something to be said for a good life.
Ah, yes. This is life. I sometimes forget where my priorities should be 🙂
Absolutely stunning blooms. Congratulations on accomplishing all of the moving and catching up on baby love ????
I’m looking forward to your next posts.
Thank you, Linda! It does feel like we accomplished a lot!
I’ve heard some trees are blooming actually a second time, as the weather was so hot lately in some places????
Enjoy your time with the little one, they are the miracle of life!
Oh, that is so interesting! We really are enjoying him, and there are so many changes everyday. A real miracle.
No need for explanations. There’s this thing called life that impedes a lot of other things. There are a couple of folks in my family who love anything to do with genealogy. I find it interesting, just not enough to do all the research because I know they will.
I am fascinated by genealogy and the twists and turns of life and fate and they reveal themselves with every generation. I wish I could find more! How are you doing after your health hiccup?
Life happens, and it’s all the more important to take care of that before everything else, including blogging. Rest assured, blogging will always be here when you return to it! Have a wonderful fall season and congrats on your first grandchild!
Thank you, Rebecca! I just wish there was more time to do it all!
This year really had just flown by. I can’t believe it’ll be time for Christmas again.
Spring in Sarnia looks beautiful. I love wisterias and magnolias and looks like you had them in full bloom.
Enjoy your time with your grandchild and the first Halloween and holidays in December. Time flies when you’re having fun!
Thanks, AB! I want to slow it down just a bit…
Me too. ???? Enjoy your upcoming long weekend!
❤️
Time does have a way of flying by, but it sounds like you had lots of excitement along the way. Lovely photos, I enjoy the colorful flowers as a contrast to fall, which is beginning to set in here.
We are starting to see soe fall colour here too. Always exciting!
Welcome back, but we understand that life and time fly by. We are behind too, and probably won’t catch up. I enjoyed seeing your great spring photos!
Thank you, and yeah I will probably never get to some planned posts. Maybe if I post every day, but that will be crazy.
Amazing trees. Fingers crossed for house
Thank you! We are really keeping our fingers crossed!
Spring feels like such a long time ago but it’s nice to know all these beautiful blossoms are waiting for us after we get through the fall and winter.
So true! How are you doing?
Fabulous floral flashback! Thank you for sharing. ????
Thank you!
Beautiful 🙂
Thank you!
Oh wow look at all these beautiful flowers!! Gorgeous????????✨
Thank you!
Congratulations on the grandchild. They carry hope. (And a bit of fear given the state of the world. Hopefully Hope will prevail.) ????????
Thank you! I was thinking the same thing…
We are on the same wavelength… My daughter just picked her kids, our grandkids… It is such a joy to see them grow. (And worry about the world they will have to live in…) Hopefully, some of bad stuff will be fixed by the time they move into the “real world…” ????????
❤️
Sorry I didn’t read this post earlier. Broke a leg and a wrist and was in hospital but I’m back home now. Yeah! Cheers, Muriel
So glad to hear from you! I hope you fully recovered!
Such beautiful photos! I love Wisteria
Thank you! I love them too!
Wow! Sarnia is beautiful in Spring
It really is! I am looking at the pictures that I posted here and look out the window at all the white stuff. I miss spring…
Beautiful ????
