There is a lot that is wrong with this photo. I tried to edit it, but whenever I made a correction it lost its soul. I left it alone. Sometimes the flaws are what makes it work and you just need to let it be.
I have a couple of artist friends who would love to paint a scene like this. So many interesting aspects between the sharp angles and the variety of light and dark contrast.
Haha, good question! I don’t know…there is something harsh about the colours and they seem a bit unnatural. The photo is a bit blurry and the mountains a bit too yellow. But it works for some reason, so to answer your question, maybe there is nothing wrong with it because it’s just right.
Thought-provoking description, Tony and Margie. I agree how often it is better to leave a photo alone, than too much tweaking and editing. Anything too perfect, no longer appears real. Loses “its soul.” 🙂Erica
Yes, I know what you mean – there are photos that are better in their original state. Beautiful photo.
Thank you!
It is just so strong and bold. I like it. Thank you.
Thank you! I think you put your finger on it!

Well, silly me, I see no flaws in it. What bothered you?

But where is it? It looks too yellow for Canada, maybe the southwestern US?
looks like an awesome photo to me!
Thanks, Jim!

Thanks, Erica! A perfect imperfection of sorts 🙂
The shades of yellow remind me of fields of gold in the Midwest. Stunning. 👁👁🍂
There is something different about the light out that way! Thank you!
Agreed. There are just some photos that need to be left as taken. Allan
Indeed!
