This vivid and stubborn plant broke ground in an arid, semi-desert part of Israel.  The Jerusalem Autumn Crocus (Colchicum hierosolymitanum), now rare and protected, was once common around Jerusalem. It seems like an impossible and futile effort, yet here it is vibrant and very much alive.

This picture features the still-free hostages back in the UK before their return to Canada. We enjoyed discovering these blessing stones throughout the forest during the darkest Coronavirus days.  It seems fitting today to share a message of hope for a better, kinder world.
